As the ACLU鈥檚 first Director of Border Strategies, Jonathan Blazer drives ACLU鈥檚 efforts to build strong and sustained support for humane border policies, working in close collaboration with ACLU鈥檚 southern border affiliates. Jon returned to 桃子视频in 2020 after working as a Senior Program Officer at the Four Freedoms Fund and serving as California Attorney General Xavier Becerra鈥檚 immigration advisor. Previously, he worked for twelve years in related positions at the 桃子视频and the National Immigration Law Center (NILC), engaging in or supporting hundreds of battles for immigrants鈥� rights at the state and local levels, while also working to connect these fights to federal advocacy efforts and longer-term strategies for social change. He started his legal career working as a legal services attorney in Philadelphia, where he founded the Language Access Project of Community Legal Services. Jon is based in ACLU鈥檚 San Francisco office.
