Sasha Geffen is the author of Glitter Up the Dark: How Pop Music Broke the Binary (University of Texas Press, 2020) and host of the accompanying SiriusXM podcast Shattering Gleam. Their writing on music and gender has appeared in Pitchfork, NPR, The Nation, and many other publications. They live in Colorado.
